The easiest way to purchase a ticket to any of our upcoming performances is by clicking on the red ticket icons located throughout the website. These will take you directly to our online ticketing system, powered by Vendini®. You are able to purchase regular tickets to multiple performances or multiple productions while you remain in "shopping cart" mode.
Should you need to book special accomodations, or simply have a question regarding the ticketing system, the theatre, or the show itself, feel free to call the box office at (352) 787-3013 during business hours to speak with an agent.
The Melon Patch Theatre absorbs all fees from our ticketing system, allowing our patrons the chance to continue to enjoy the most affordable admission to any live theatre venue in the Lake County circuit.
If you are purchasing online, you will receive an email with your tickets attached. You can either print them out at home OR save it to your cell phone to show the usher day of event.
If you are pruchasing at the Box Office, your seating assignment will be given to you then.
Whether you discover later that an error was made in your selection, or perhaps you simply need to exchange your seats for a different performance date, always retain the email confirmation receipt which is sent directly to your inbox following every purchase or transaction modification. This will be used to easily compare order details to those in our ticketing database.
Please be aware that without a proof of purchase or receipt, our box office agents may be limited in what assistance they can provide.
NOTE: Refunds will not be offered for failure to attend a selected performance except in the event of extreme emergency. Please speak with an authorized representative of the Melon Patch Players for further details.
There are a few things you should know about using our online ticketing system, powered by Vendini®.
From the time you begin your ticket selection, there is a time limit placed on your shopping cart to avoid extended holds on any given seats. We highly suggest that you have your method of payment ready in the event.
The interactive software featured on the Vendini® ticketing system is not always compatible with Apple® mobile devices, such as iPhones and iPads, which may lead to error messages. Please try employing another device or desktop computer to see if similar results occur.
Please also note that while the Vendini® ticketing system offers fully secure and compliant checkout procedures, your browser may alert you that the site is supposedly unsafe due to the cookies (small bits of remembered data) employed by the interactive seating software when making your selections. If you do not feel comfortable opening ticket selection windows in the frame of our site, we suggest you open those links in a new tab.
For further questions or concerns not addressed with this basic troubleshooting guide, please contact the office at office@melonpatchplayers.org or by calling (352) 787-3013 during regular business hours.
What are the best seats in your theatre?
All of them! The Melon Patch Theatre features an open-space auditorium without architectural hindrances or visual obstructions. The seating arrangement is comfortable and intimate, consisting of only nine (9) rows (50 feet from lobby to stage), situated on a gentle incline (without steps), with individual seats staggered in a "window" effect to allow better vision.
PLEASE NOTE: Our auditorium features TWO AISLES, running between seats 7 & 8 and seats 16 & 17. Seat numbers 1 and 23 in all regular rows, while angled for comfortable viewing, are located against the walls of the auditorium.
How many seats are in your theatre? The Melon Patch Theatre can accomodate up to 209 patrons per performance.
Is your theatre wheelchair accessible? Yes. For patrons needing to remain in their own personal seating accomodation, our front row offers three removable seats for ease of parking and with limited obstructions. A few of our fixed seats on the aisles also offer swing arms for transference if the individual is able to do so.
Please call the box office at (352) 787-3013 in advance to speak with an agent about arranging these specifications.
Our property features an open lawn directly in front of the theatre and a sister grassy lot (also vacant) located directly across the street from the theatre. Both are open for public parking arrangements on show nights. A paved loop exists leading to our front door for loading and unloading patrons needing additional assistance. However parking is not allowed on the paved loop for the safety of all on property. There are no additional fees for parking.
NOTE: Due to our parking arrangements, there are no specified handicapped parking locations.
We highly encourage all patrons to arrive early to ensure the most comfortable and accessible parking availability.
On show nights, the lobby and box office open to the public beginning one hour prior to the announced curtain times. Seating in the house begins a half hour prior to curtain time. The only exceptions to these rules are on opening night receptions, at which time the lobby (but not the box office) is open 1 1/2 hours prior to curtain time for refreshments and social opportunities.
General refreshments --- sodas, coffee, water, chips, cookies, candies, etc. --- are available at our refreshment stand in the lobby, offered on a donation-only basis (suggested donation: $1/item). Alcoholic beverages are not offered as part of the regular refreshments, with the exception of an open wine bar for opening night receptions, again offered on a donation-only basis.
NOTE: Food and drink (except water) are not allowed inside the auditorium.
The Melon Patch Theatre is a community-based performing arts venue. As such, we are not a mandatory formal wear location (i.e. suit and tie / black tie not required). Please bear in mind, however, that we do cater to families in our audiences, so social setting-appropriate attire is appreciated.
